store and catering operation with
the much deserved reputation as
Mid-Michigan's finest meat market.
Serving the area since 1997, Merindorf
Meats provides only the highest
quality meats and meat products.
The market offers a wide selection
of U.S.D.A. choice beef cuts from
an old-fashioned meat counter,
specialty smoked meats, carefully
selected specialty food items,
and chicken, pork, buffalo, elk,
and venison items. Custom processing
for area farmers is also performed
as well as selling whole, sides,
and quarters of beef and pork.
Meat bundles for the freezer may
be ordered as specified.
Merindorf
Meats and More began years ago
as a lucrative deer processing
sideline for the Merindorf family.
In 1996, that operation processed
approximately 550 deer and turned
away 200 more from the home-based
business. The year 2002 saw a
3,000 square foot expansion of
the operation to increase meat
processing capabilities and to
open a full-service catering operation
run by wife and co-owner, Melinda
Merindorf.

Smoked
meat is Merindorf’s specialty
niche; items such as sausage,
ham, bacon, and jerky. Numerous
awards have been bestowed upon
owner Linn Merindorf, thereby
the products earn the term “award
winning meats” most honestly.
Awards have been received from
the Michigan Meat Association
and the American Association of
Meat Processors. The year 2003
saw the Merindorf market as the
recipient of the Mason Area Chamber
of Commerce Excellence in Business
Award and the store has repeatedly
been voted as Ingham County’s
People’s Choice Award winner
for “Best Place to Buy Meat.”
